Skagit Tulip Festival!!!

I only recently realized how unique a lot of the events around Seattle truly are! The Skagit tulip festival is one of them!

There are only around 6 places in the world to go see tulip festivals (shown below):

  1. Keukenhof Netherlands

  2. Holland MI USA

  3. Mount Vernon WA USA

  4. Ottawa Canada

  5. Silvan Australia

  6. Kashimir India!

I was super excited to go see the Skagit Tulip Festival bloom again this year! This would be my second time visiting.

I wanted to include some tips and tricks because I had a few blunders the first time I visited Mount Vernon for the Tulip Festival.

First off, Mount Vernon is a little over an hour drive away from Seattle.

There are 3 different locations that have tulips, RoozenGaarde, Tulip town and Garden Roselyn. I broke down the details of each garden below:

RoozenGaarde

  • Free Parking

  • Available year round

  • $15/person

  • If you purchase a ticket online, the line is shorter

  • No dogs

  • Includes Display Garden (5 acre), Tulip Field (25 acre), and Daffodil Field (20 acre)

  • Expected to bloom through at least May 1, 2022

  • Closes at 7pm

Tulip Town

  • Free Parking

  • Available April 1-30

  • $15/person

  • No dogs

  • Tulip Town has smaller rows of Tulips with different colors than RoozenGaarde

  • Has a Bloom Field, Tulip Gardens, Indoor Tulip Display & Barn Experience

  • Closes at 7pm

Garden Rosalyn

  • Available April 1-30

  • $12/person, free parking

  • Smaller bloom area than the above 2 locations

  • Website not as updated to include details

  • Closes at 8pm

I strongly recommend RoozenGaarde as it is the biggest and has the largest fields of Tulips. It gives the most similar vibe to the tulip fields in the Netherlands! I think I messed up the first time and went to Garden Rosalyn, not knowing there were 3 tulip fields and ended up paying and extra $30 to go to RoozenGaarde afterwards!

Let me know if you have any additional questions either on my livestreams Tuesday Thursdays on Twitch

Or just comment on tulip festival post on Instagram!
