Seattle/Bellevue Food Guide From A Bunny
A lot of y’all ask for food recommendations when visiting Seattle!
I’ve loved keeping lists ever since I was a kid, specifically locations and restaurants I really love. So I have decided to publish my secret list of restaurants I love going to, starting with Seattle! These are restaurants I keep on my phone for nights I don’t feel like cooking or exploring.
I will break these up into East/West side and Cuisine so it is not confusing. I will be updating this as I try new restaurants as well.
Bellevue (East Side)
Dessert/Bakery
Hui Shan Lau Mango ($)
This dessert place is my go to for a cold fruity dessert. I love to get the coconut jelly!
Meet Fresh ($)
Meet Fresh is a dessert chain I normally go to for more traditional desserts! I love how they have both hot and cold options.
Chinese
Buerjia Chinese Sauerkraut Fish ($$)
I’ve only been here once but I loved how good the food tasted!
Dollar shop ($$$)
If you want to impress a girl/boy, this is the place to go! This is one of the fanciest Hotpot restaurants I have ever been to. I love the quality of food here but this place is pretty pricey.
Tasty Time Karaoke + Bar food ($)
This place rebranded as Tasty Time Karaoke, I knew it as Twilight Karaoke Bar. It has lower reviews but I loved their bar food and Chinese BBQ skewers. They also have Karaoke rooms!
Japanese
Ginza ($$)
One of my go to places for Sushi and Sashimi on East side! I love their Sashimi Boat!!!
Minamoto ($$)
I love how Minamoto opens super late. This is my go to Japanese late night! A little more on the pricey end but the food is good! They also have an amazing Matcha beer.
Seattle (West side)
Dessert/Bakery
Modern Japanese Restaurant/Setsuko pastry ($)
Setsuko pastry on Google Maps is called Modern Japanese Restaurant. I LOVE this bakery. I only get this as a reward to myself, but their YUZU Cream cup (I don’t know the name) is SOOO good. I promise you it is worth a trip.
Princi ($)
I remember going to Princi a decent amount when I lived downtown Seattle. The baked goods are super rich.
Bakery Nouveau ($)
I also went to this restaurant a decent amount when I lived downtown! On my list I wrote in capital letters: Twice Baked Croissants. I would recommend getting that if you have a chance to visit :)
Chinese
Dough zone ($)
This is my go to for Baos and Dumpling like dishes! It’s not very expensive and very filling.
Qin Xi’an noodles ($)
When I was downtown, I loved going here. They have amazing hand pulled noodles. Their soup is also super rich.
Northwest tofu ($)
Pre-covid this place had amazing tofu and soy milk! I strongly recommend if you want Chinese breakfast food!
Sizzling Pot King ($)
This is a cheaper dry hotpot restaurant! It did leave me a little thirsty but it is very authentic!
Taste of Xi’an ($)
Taste of Xi’an is also available on East side but the UW store is larger! It is starch heavy but makes great noodle dishes.
Italian
The Pink Door ($$)
This is another good date night location! It has an amazing view during the sunset and the food is amazing!
Japanese
Sushi Kashiba ($$$)
This restaurant is extremely great for special occasions but is extremely expensive! The Omakase is great but will need to be booked in advance.
NaNa’s Green Tea ($$)
This is my favorite place to get food downtown! I love the soft serve! I would also get the Chicken Karaage!
Bars
Needle and thread ($$)
You will need to book this a month in advance! I loved how amazing the environment was. There is no drink menu and you just tell the bartender what you like! I loved the experience.
